Elizabeth Young is the supervising paralegal at the Law Office. She joined the team in 2017, and works on H-2B, H-2A, PERM, and family-based cases. Liz graduated from Villanova University with a BA in English Literature. She worked for many years in real estate development as a property analyst. In 2004, she and her family founded a charity dedicated to serving at risk youth in Camden County, NJ. In 2016, Liz completed the Rutgers University Paralegal certificate program. During her studies she became interested in immigration law and continues to enjoy the rigorous and ever-changing landscape of the field.
Raisa Ortiz rejoined our firm in 2021, after initially starting with us in 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Chestnut Hill College and an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies from the Community College of Philadelphia.
Raisa brings extensive experience in employment-based and family-based immigration matters, including H-2A, H-2B, PERM, Naturalization, Deportation/Removal, Asylum, and other humanitarian visas. Her background includes trial preparation, litigation, case management, and legal research and writing. Before rejoining our team, Raisa gained valuable expertise at a high-volume foreclosure firm, where she focused on litigation and trial preparation.
With a commitment to problem-solving, Raisa collaborates closely with our staff to efficiently navigate complex cases. As an immigrant herself, she is passionate about helping clients achieve their vision of the American Dream. Raisa enjoys all things tech, music, and travel. She is fluent in Spanish.
Meghan Josey has been a dedicated member of the Law Office of Michele Contreras since 2021, bringing with her a wealth of experience from her prior nine years in foreclosure law. With a deep expertise in H-2A, H-2B, and consular processing, Ms. Josey is a trusted advisor for employers navigating the complexities of seasonal workforce needs. Meghan's passion for using her legal skills to build trust and deliver effective solutions has made her an invaluable asset to our team and our clients.
EJ McColl is a paralegal at the Law Office and is fluent in Cebuano and Tagalog. She graduated from the University of San Carlos (Philippines) with a Bachelor’s in Business, majoring in Operations Management. In 2020, she completed the UC San Diego Paralegal Certificate Program and joined our team in 2022. Having worked for immigration firms since 2017, EJ has years of experience in SIJ, asylum, and family-based immigration cases, finding great joy in bringing families together.
Karla Rosario is a paralegal at the Law Office who joined the firm in 2022. She graduated from Temple University in 2018 with a BA in Criminal Justice and received the Temple University 30 Under 30 Award in 2022 for assisting asylum-seekers with their cases at the U.S./Mexican border. She earned her Paralegal Studies Associate’s degree in 2015 from the Community College of Philadelphia. She has been working as an immigration paralegal since 2014 and is experienced with removal proceedings, humanitarian cases, naturalization, and family-based immigration cases. In her free time, she volunteers with nonprofit organizations helping asylum seekers and people who are eligible to naturalize in the United States. Karla belongs to The National Society of Leadership and Success – Temple University Chapter, the Philadelphia Association of Paralegals, and is fluent in Spanish.
Guillermo Lukowsky Sanchez is a Paralegal at the Office and is fluent in Spanish. He joined the team in 2022. He graduated with Law and Political Sciences degree from Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua in 2021 and is currently doing a master’s in advanced studies of Social and Cultural Anthropology in La Universidad Complutense de Madrid. During his work at the office, he finds extreme joy in playing a part in helping people migrate and search for new life plans. He enjoys languages, eating different foods, and video games.
Hector Sanchez is a Paralegal and joined our Law Office in 2022. He has experience handling business matters, international enterprises, and government procedures for Law Firms. Hector is fluent in Spanish and enjoys applying his past experience to assist in immigration processes including H-2B, PERM, and family-based cases.
Roberto Lopez is a Paralegal at the Law Office. He is in his fifth year of law school with a criminal law emphasis at Universidad Autonoma. He has 5 years' experience in customer service. He is fluent in Spanish and joined the office in 2022. Roberto served as a legal assistant and was recently promoted due to his consistently excellent performance.
Judy McAleer is the Office Manager at the Law Office. She joined the Law Office in 2021 and has many years of experience working as an office manager for law firms.
